Switching languages

# Part 15 — Switching languages

The platform's UI is fully bilingual. To switch languages:

1. Find the **Language switcher** in the header (every signed‑in page has one)
2. Click **EN** or **FR**

Your preference is stored in a cookie (`rwpl_locale`) and remembered across sessions. The active language sets:

- The **UI language** (all buttons, labels, descriptions)
- The **content language** rendered in viewers (story / research / messages / memorial / etc.)
- **Notifications** read in your active language wherever they have bilingual fields

Content authored in the other language is **never lost** — it's just hidden behind the tab. Toggle back anytime.

> **Tip:** anonymous visitors (memorial / portal magic‑link claim pages) can also use the switcher — it works without an account.
